And plenty that are not on this list. If it needs doing around the house and it does not need a licensed trade, ask.

01

Doors and hardware

The most common call Adam gets. Doors that stick in summer, drop on their hinges, catch on the carpet or never quite latch. New doors hung, old ones eased and rehung, and the hardware sorted while he is there.

  • Internal and external doors hung
  • Sticking, dropping and catching doors eased
  • Hinges, locks, handles and latches
  • Door stops, seals and draught strips

Wall and ceiling repairs

Holes from a door handle, a knock or a foot. Cracks that keep coming back. Adam cuts the damage out, patches it properly with a backing and filler, then sands it flat so it disappears under paint instead of showing through it.

  • Plasterboard holes cut out and patched
  • Cracks, dings and screw holes filled
  • Cornice and skirting repairs
  • Sanded back ready for paint

Painting and touch-ups

A room, a hallway, a set of doors, or the patch that never got painted after the last repair. Drop sheets down, edges cut in, and the trims and skirtings done rather than skipped.

  • Interior walls and ceilings
  • Doors, frames, skirtings and trims
  • Touch-ups after repairs
  • Prep, filling and sanding first

A shed, a garage, a spare room or a yard that has quietly filled up. Adam brings the ute and the trailer, does the lifting, and takes the load away with him. Handy too when you just need a second pair of hands for an hour.

  • Sheds, garages and spare rooms cleared
  • Old furniture and timber loaded out
  • Green waste and general rubbish
  • An extra pair of hands by the hour

Not sure it counts as a job?

Most weeks Adam does something that is not on any list. Ring and describe it. If it is not work for a handyman he will point you at the right trade instead of taking the job.

Working out of Tamworth.

Tamworth and surrounding areas. If you are out of town and not sure whether it is too far, just ask.

Service questions.

Do you do electrical or plumbing work?

No. Anything that needs a licensed electrician or plumber is not handyman work, and Adam will say so rather than take it on. He is happy to point you in the right direction.

How small is too small?

Nothing is too small. A good part of the work is an hour or two, and plenty of people ring because nobody else will turn up for a single door or one shelf.

Can you take the rubbish away?

Yes. Clear-outs come with the ute and trailer, so the old furniture, timber and bagged waste go with him rather than sitting on your nature strip.
